Honorary Fellow
Granted to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the growth of IARSA, or extraordinary contributions to research and education, and who are not otherwise eligible for membership. Nominations are made confidentially.
Honorary Fellowship is granted by the Board of Directors to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the growth and advancement of IARSA, who is not otherwise eligible for membership, and who has made extraordinary contributions to the advancement of education and research — through personal scientific activity or exceptional leadership in research administration.
Honorary Fellows constitute the association's professional reference; their importance lies in their commitment, energy and support. They are elected for life, in recognition of sustained excellence and leadership in science, healthcare and public service.
Eligibility
- An outstanding contribution to IARSA or to research and education
- Not otherwise eligible for membership
- Outstanding performance in the vocation or professional activity for which the award is considered
How to apply
- Nomination, made confidentially. A person may be nominated up to three times, by the same or different nominators.
- Election by the Board of Directors.
Terms & fees
- Fellows, and those eligible for Fellowship, are not eligible for Honorary Fellowship.
- Members of the association's staff and Board are not eligible.
- Awards recognise contributions across activities consistent with the association's aims — administration, research, teaching and consulting, whether directly or indirectly related to education.
