  • Executive Committee

    The President, President-Elect, Secretary General, Treasurer, Immediate Past President and Executive Director. Chaired by the President, it conducts the association's business between meetings of the Board and reports its actions to the Board.

    A standing committee of the Board, advising it on research, publications, income and expenditure — ensuring accountability for the proper use of funds, supervising the financial position, and reviewing budgets and fundraising strategy.

  • Government Affairs Committee

    Recommends to the Board on measures by any governmental body affecting the conduct, practice, integrity or efficacy of the research industry, issues member guidance on compliance, and organises members to brief government at every level.

  • Nominating Committee

    Chaired by the Vice Chair of the Board. Recommends director nominees annually and candidates for vacant seats, balancing professional qualification against the needs of each board and committee, with a priority on breadth of diversity.

  • Publications & Research Committee

    Responsible for the quality of the association's publications and research. Directs and reviews print and electronic output including journals and books, oversees editorial policy, and plans future publications.

  • Standards Committee

    At least three members of the Board. Recommends revisions to the Code of Standards and Guidelines, oversees standards development, and considers complaints against members for failure to comply with the Code or the Bylaws.

  • Training & Development Committee

    Runs the educational and research processes through which members learn new material, reinforce existing knowledge and skills, and develop behaviours they can carry back into their work.
