The Researchers' Worldwide Networks are the network of the association's scientists and researchers across all disciplines, working at leading research institutions worldwide. The networks help members maintain and build their international connections, facilitate mobility and cooperation, and inform members about career and funding opportunities and recent developments in science policy at home and abroad.
They offer an efficient way to keep up to date on the latest research and connect with relevant members across the world, a first step for members to make an impact with their research, and the network is dedicated to the advancement of science through open sharing.
Teaching and research are both embedded in the networks. Members are in a permanent exchange process with international colleagues in order to transfer knowledge and competences. The networks advise members about career opportunities and facilitate contacts with potential employers, provide updates on developments in science policy and relevant calls for application and funding, and offer access to a network of experts and mentors for budding entrepreneurs and innovators.
Purpose
To identify areas related to development and to economic and social life that are in need of research, to bring members together from various disciplines to contribute meaningful and positive ideas and knowledge that can engender education, research technology and socioeconomic development, and to publish the results of such studies.
Mission
- To encourage and supervise local chapters as a venue for members to meet, exchange views and attend continuing education courses and social activities, as a means of advancing the association's mission, increasing membership and preparing individuals for leadership roles nationally and internationally
- To coordinate members to play an important role in the success of the association
- To break silos across members' disciplinary backgrounds, so they engage with interdisciplinary issues, identify collaborators across disciplines, and interact with academia and non-governmental organisations
Vision
To connect members across the globe and serve as a platform for them to coordinate, represent, exchange information and share experiences on the issues facing career researchers and their professional development.
