Research Data Management requirements specify the characteristics of data needed to support a project, application or business process. They define what data is needed, how it will be used, and how it should be stored, processed and accessed. These requirements are crucial for designing and implementing effective data architectures and databases.

The association offers comprehensive services, guidance and support to help you manage your data efficiently. It also has a network of members who specialize in research data, based in departments at universities and other higher institutions across the globe, to help with the discipline-specific challenges of research data.

Successful research requires that the data employed be appropriate for the questions asked and the hypotheses tested. Are secondary data available and appropriate for analysis? If primary data are to be collected, what is the population of interest? What is an appropriate and available sampling frame? How large should the sample be? What are the expected response rates?
