About IARSA Nigeria

The International Association of Research Scholars & Administrators, Nigeria is a scholarly association characterized by certain commitments in diversified areas of study. The association marks out a particular space in the landscape of research in Nigeria and beyond, by repositioning scholars and research administrators to increase their achievements and take them beyond the obvious. Its scholarship shapes the next generation of researchers, addresses societal concerns, and informs a broad swath of communities outside academia.

Since the inception of the association in February 2015, and its incorporation in 2016, it has worked to cultivate academic freedom in a spirit of self-reliance and self-respect, opening up new horizons in creative scholarly endeavour, and has attracted outstanding faculty and members from universities, colleges, institutions and corporate organisations.

The association has continued to pursue the three concerns that have become common to prestigious research associations around the world: interdisciplinary research, internationalisation and innovation. It is growing into a world-class research organisation and is boldly innovating its system to become a global leader in academic and global research.

Everything the association does supports an interaction between committed researchers and the nation. It believes that any nation can only be successful in achieving its national goals when the relationship between research and innovation is fully developed. While hardly an unusual philosophy, the association holds it at the very core of who it is, and uses it to orient its research priorities. Among the finest of its accomplishments is the expansion of the professional development system, the modern manifestation of that ideal.

For many years the association has proved its commitment to integrity and continuous learning, strengthening research capacity for sustainable development and creating an internationally-accepted standard of knowledge, education, research and experience by which its members are recognized as Certified Research Professionals.

That designation is a distinctive indicator of dedication to the research practice. It highlights awareness of the highest ethics and standards, a commitment to remaining abreast of new techniques and technologies, and is an objective measure of knowledge and proficiency. Regardless of age or career stage, it indicates that members are actively engaged in today's innovative research. The standards on which it is based have been set forth by the Governing Council, to promote recognition and continuing excellence in the ethical conduct of research.
