Support the association's work by donation. Contributions sustain its programmes, its students and its emerging researchers.
IARSA is taking action to respond to critical needs in education research. Support sustains that work and lets the association provide emergency help to its research programmes.
The association holds itself to the highest standards in managing its growth: fully 94 per cent of donations go directly to fund programme services, so a financial contribution has a direct impact on the issues that concern the donor most. Donations of every size are welcome — a one-time gift, a monthly contribution, or part of a matching-gifts programme.
The General Fund
- Supports the association's operational expenses — administrative and staff support, website and membership software, conference expenses and award programmes
- Carefully managed by the Board, and used to support IARSA publications and dissemination
- Donors are recognised in an IARSA publication
The Student Scholarship Fund
- Offsets the cost of students' research work and of attending the annual conference
- Provides stipends towards registration, travel and lodging so students can take part as presenters and attendees
- Restricted to student use and cannot be spent on any other activity
- Donors are recognised on the association's web pages and at student events
The IARSA Ambassador Fund
- Supports scholars of limited financial means to complete their research or attend an IARSA conference, with priority for individuals from developing countries and for young professionals in financial need
- Each scholarship is valued at $1,000 and includes complimentary full-conference registration
- Donors give in increments of $1,000 and are recognised with the IARSA Ambassador Award
- Recipients are selected by the conference planning committee on the basis of financial need
Your rights as a donor
- To be informed of the association's mission, how it intends to use donated resources, and its capacity to use them effectively
- To be informed of the identity of those serving on the Board, and to expect prudent stewardship from them
- To have access to the association's most recent financial statements
- To be assured that gifts will be used for the purposes for which they were given
- To receive appropriate acknowledgement and recognition
- To be assured that information about donations is handled with respect and confidentiality to the extent provided by law
- To have the opportunity for your name to be removed from mailing lists the association may share
- To ask questions when making a donation, and to receive prompt, truthful and forthright answers
