The body's own mission, vision and philosophy.

Our mission

  • To catalyze and promote evidence-based knowledge about pressing economic issues, leading to better-informed policy solutions for generations to come.
  • To build broadly shared prosperity in Ghana by supporting education leaders and practitioners, policymakers, researchers and community stakeholders to study, design and build equitable, high-performing, and cost-effective education and workforce development systems.
  • To be at the frontier of research in political economy, economic history, development economics, finance, and education.
  • To foster evidence generation and uptake for sustainable economic growth and development for Ghana and the region.
  • To make effort for development of people centric economic policies through provision of high quality survey data to guide policy formulation, generate discussion amongst key stake holders and evidence based planning and research in the social and economic sectors of the country.

Our vision

To underpin by sound research principles and generate measurable improvements in the lives of all people and to view education as a critical and ethical endeavour to promote human rights, sustainability, justice, peace and wellbeing, and as a means to expand opportunities, capabilities and freedoms as a centre for excellence for evidence-based national and international academic research and contemporary issues.

Our philosophy

We believe that everything is possible and any idea is doable. Dead-end roads and unsolvable problems do not exist. We see through our staff, management and clients and cooperate with them to achieve the success they want. We believe that every case is a personal success story to us but professional achievement is the success of our clients. We believe all people are entitled to a high-quality education, grounded in sensitivity to individual dignity, professional integrity, and a positive and nurturing environment.
